Hang in there, we aren't "live" yet...

In the few days since this website was "published", it has already had 49 page views!  All 49 visitors immediately realized several things:
  • That's not a "young Black man, Joseph Johnson," straddling the fence on the home page.  (although it's a great visual metaphor for the beginning of the novel!)  And that's not the author Paul Pommells ducking into the treehouse on the About the Author page either.  The rest of the photos seem odd too. That's because they are all just placeholders. Once the photography for the book is finished, some of those photos will be appropriately cropped and placed here, and the whole photo layout will suddenly make more sense to you.
  • The "Purchase Now" button doesn't work.  That's because the book isn't published yet! Bookmark this page, subscribe to this RSS feed, and when the book hits the presses we will announce it. At THAT time, the button will work, we promise. ;-)
  • "About the Issues" doesn't tell me about the issues.  That's because Paul hasn't finished those three articles yet! As soon as he does, we'll have them up on the site for you, and each one will be introduced by a blog post, so you can respond and get this Conversation rolling.

...you get the idea. This site is not ready for you yet. We published it as-is so that we can make sure the site architecture works okay, and that it appears correctly on different browsers and devices.

For that reason, even though the site isn't formally "up" yet, we welcome your feedback about how it appears in your browser window, your tablet, your phone, or other mobile device that might be released in the months before this site is completed.  Post your comments below and we will get this thing dialed in!

Glad to know that God is speaking to him but until he admits that he executed a man and tried to kill 2 others, he will never be completely accepted by God. The people that he tried to kill saw him with their eyes and testified that he was the lone gunman. I still sympathize with his mother and family because they did their best to produce a productive individual that would make positive contributions to society. Roland will never be able to tell his story or warn urban youth about people like Paul because Mr. Pommels took that away from him on the night he decided to commit murder.

Michael , I empathize with you …
That was a tragic night, 20 years ago. I could remind you that "there are two sides to every story" but actually there are three: the third side of this story is how Paul has changed since that night. It sounds like you are talking about a Paul who won't admit doing anything wrong, but this Paul takes full responsibility for his wrong attitudes and choices, not just that night but leading up to it and afterward too. Paul is repentant and remorseful according to Paul‘s website. I understand your anger at the "lone gunman" of 20 years ago. God says He will not despise a broken and contrite heart. I hope you won't either...
