Hang in there, we aren't "live" yet...

In the few days since this website was "published", it has already had 49 page views!  All 49 visitors immediately realized several things:

• That's not a "young Black man, Joseph Johnson," straddling the fence on the home page.  (although it's a great visual metaphor for the beginning of the novel!)  And that's not the author Paul Pommells ducking into the treehouse on the About the Author page either.  The rest of the photos seem odd too. That's because they are all just placeholders. Once the photography for the book is finished, some of those photos will be appropriately cropped and placed here, and the whole photo layout will suddenly make more sense to you.
  
• The "Purchase Now" button doesn't work.  That's because the book isn't published yet! Bookmark this page, subscribe to this RSS feed, and when the book hits the presses we will announce it. At THAT time, the button will work, we promise. ;-)
  
• "About the Issues" doesn't tell me about the issues.  That's because Paul hasn't finished those three articles yet! As soon as he does, we'll have them up on the site for you, and each one will be introduced by a blog post, so you can respond and get this Conversation rolling.
  

...you get the idea. This site is not ready for you yet. We published it as-is so that we can make sure the site architecture works okay, and that it appears correctly on different browsers and devices.

For that reason, even though the site isn't formally "up" yet, we welcome your feedback about how it appears in your browser window, your tablet, your phone, or other mobile device that might be released in the months before this site is completed.  Post your comments below and we will get this thing dialed in!
